Thank you for looking into who we are at Babies Beyond Borders! This may be a little long-winded, but we hope you appreciate all that has gone into the making of our small but largely represented company!

I am a stay-at-home mom of three and our family has been blessed in so many ways. In the past few years we have had a deep heart-felt compassion for the underprivelaged people of the world who don't have the opportunities that we do here in the United States. I have traveled much in my 32 years and have seen so many wonderful lands and people groups who are so much like you and I in so many ways. A few years ago when I first became a mother I saw those people in a different light, with my eyes as a mother I saw many new things in their faces and felt many new feelings myself. There are mothers with children all over the world just like you and I. They love their little ones with everything they are, they sacrifice every day on their behalf and they would do anything for their offspring. As I got to know some of these women in different parts of the world doing volunteer mission work, I realized that they have amazing beautiful talents that they could share with the rest of us if given an opportunity. That's where BBB became a dream. I knew that I could be their link to a bigger world, freedom from sweatshops, and pride in their abilities. In the past year I have gotten to know several of these groups around the world and have learned of their life-stories.

Each type of the carrier we sell here has been made by one of these women's groups who we have contracted and worked with in order to bring you a representative art from their part of the world. These women work in their homes and communities with other women and are paid far more for their stitching and sewing than they would make if working in an industry or sweatshop environment away from their family. These are FAIR TRADE products, you do not have to worry about that issue here at all!

We are so excited for this dream to become a reality and so are the women who have been working on these designs. You can see the joy and pride on their faces when they realize that what they can do with their hands is a real gift that many people value.

I hope that you can support us and in-turn support the many mothers represented in the world here at our store. We are in the midst of the long-process of becoming members of the Fair Trade Federation which will allow more people to see the need for this type of business to help people around the world.
